Candid Convos with Sam Brotman

Candid Convos with Sam Brotman featuring our Brand Ambassador, Joe Bravo.

We’re very pleased to share our newest episode of Candid Convos; where we discuss virtual staffing in the new remote economy with a business owner, or lawyer, who utilizes virtual staff. In this episode, our featured guest is Sam Brotman, founder, and director of Brotman Law. Brotman is a lawyer, whose law firm specializes in tax compliance practices; helping people save money and improve their lives.

In this episode, Joe, the host, and Sam talk about virtual staffing, the benefits of nurturing your team, the search for talent, and the pros and cons of co-working. Initially, Brotman law was only himself, a simple desk, and a phone. Slowly gaining momentum he decided the best course of action would be to create leverage. He decided to bring and onboard people into his firm, becoming a much bigger and more capable team.

Freedom is the BIGGEST benefit you get to enjoy

Delegating and focusing on the important aspects of his business, Sam and his firm have over 300 satisfied clients. Because of the world pandemic, remote work became a necessity and also a paradigm shift, regarding its strength and capabilities. Sam started hiring offshore talent for administrative tasks and realized they worked perfectly. The flexibility to spend his time more efficiently gave him the freedom needed to truly get the best out of life.

The Secret Gravy: Talent IS Talent

Remote employees are still employees, and Sam emphasizes how they still need an onboarding and mentoring process. It’s crucial to take care of your team so that they care as much for your business. Discussing a hybrid co-working environment, Sam comments on how you can get the best talent, regardless of their location.

Thanks to working with an amazing team, Sam has balance in his life, something he wishes for everybody. Delegating tasks allows him to work on the best ideas for his firm and himself, avoiding burnout and keeping a focused mind. He recommends always remembering, “it’s a marathon, not a sprint”.
