We’re so excited to share with you our newest episode of Candid Convos, where we discuss virtual staffing in the new remote economy with a lawyer or other business owners who utilize virtual staff. This time, our featured guest is Jonathan Arias, Managing Partner at The Onyx Group, a law firm dedicated to fighting for the rights of real estate business owners. We don’t always interview clients, yet in today’s episode our guest is also one of our happy Get Staffed Up clients.
In this episode, Brett and Jon discuss his experience running his virtual law firm in the United States while living outside the country. He moved to the Caribbean due to his wife’s pursuit of medical school in Antigua. Yet, before moving away, he made sure to shift all of his systems online in order to be able to access them from anywhere. He looked for a way to delegate other procedures, such as going to court. The best thing is that his clients in Miami don’t even know he is not there. Meanwhile, Jon gets to sometimes enjoy the beach while his law firm is up and running smoothly.
They also talked about how to leverage virtual talent and the hiring of attorneys to be on the tactical side, able to actually execute the work. Since Get Staffed Up only provides entry-level positions (Virtual Administrative Assistant, Virtual Marketing Assistant, and Virtual Clerical Assistant), the owner of the firm still has to figure out how to run a few other systems and deal with the contract attorneys. Thankfully, all of these can be done remotely.
