We’re so excited to share with you our next episode of Candid Convos, where we discuss virtual staffing in the new remote economy with a lawyer or other business owner who utilizes virtual staff. This time, our featured guest is Christina Previte, CEO and Co-Owner of NJ Divorce Solutions, a law firm in NJ that focuses exclusively on divorce and family law. She is also a co-host of the Divorce Happy Hour Podcast and the host of Wake Up Call Podcast, where she interviews leaders, authors, coaches, entrepreneurs, and movers and shakers about their philosophies on business and life. We don’t always interview clients, but today’s episode is one of our happy Get Staffed Up clients.

In this episode, Brett and Christina discuss that one of the positive sides of COVID-19 is how we all realized that it is possible (probably even better) to work virtually and hire virtual assistants (VAs). VAs have the same accessibility as in-house workers, maybe even better. Both started working with VAs even before the quarantine experience due to the coronavirus and agree on how hard it is to hire employees and how liberating it is to find incredible team members through Get Staffed Up.

They also shared pretty cool insights on how hiring a VA is so affordable and how that can help you achieve your goals more quickly. It’s not replacing in-house employees, in fact, it is hiring offshore and virtually so you can eventually add more employees from the U.S. By doing so, we’re improving the global economy, which has good effects on the entire world.

Christina added that working virtually has made her a better manager and firm administrator. She says that If you can solve a problem, that can solve a lot of other problems, and by solving “the problem” of going virtually she was able to solve other problems. Nonetheless, she mentions how important it is to build a solid company culture even with virtual staff. At her firm, they have daily huddle meetings with all the staff and individual check-ins (with the help of her law firm partner) to talk about professional and personal goals. They can see how this increases the employees’ morale and productivity.

What does Christina say about GSU?

“We can get a virtual assistant for probably a third of the cost that it would cost us to hire an in-house employee. When we actually hired somebody we found that it worked out very well not having them in the office and that I had the same accessibility to them, maybe even better than I would if they were actually in the office. So, I hired another VA and both experiences have been really wonderful.

I literally do not have anything negative to say. It has worked out so beautifully that I can’t believe that I didn’t do it sooner and I would invite people, especially if you’re having hiring issues, to think outside the box and consider having a VA.”
