In this episode, Brett and Marc, the host, discuss labor arbitrage, amongst other things. They start by introducing Get Staffed Up as the leading staffing company in the USA for attorneys and law firms. One of the differentiator factors is the range of virtual assistants (VAs) available, including personal assistants, billing assistants, legal assistants, marketing assistants, and client happiness coordinators. He suggests moving away from email and instead, using platforms like Slack, Telegram, or any messaging system you are comfortable with. Labor arbitrage and labor shortage
Brett and Marc start discussing the topic of labor arbitrage, which is the practice of searching for and using a lower-cost workforce. Therefore, hiring an offshore VA means hiring a professional at a lower cost than hiring a local employee. Marc mentions how hiring a VA was a game-changer for him. It helped him realize the positive impact he was making on somebody’s life.
Lastly, they spoke about the Nationwide labor shortage issue. It has become increasingly difficult for attorneys, and business owners, to hire entry-level employees. Get Staffed Up is, therefore, helping the global economy by filling positions that USA law firms could not fill.
