On December 7th, 2020, we had the privilege of being the featured guest on the Breakfast Leadership Network Show, hosted by Michael Levitt. Michael is the founder & Chief Burnout Officer of The Breakfast Leadership Network, a San Diego and Toronto-based burnout media firm. On this podcast, he interviews global thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and marketing experts to show the audience the right steps (no shortcuts!) to grow their business and their life.

In this episode, Brett talks about how he learned by the hard way that there’s no way to do everything yourself; how important it is to delegate, and how he started hiring. First, he hired domestically and regretted not doing it sooner. He thought (like some small business owners) he wouldn’t be able to afford it, but actually, after the first month of his first hire, his revenue was doubled. Then, (his now business partner) Enrique Fernandez, talked with him about the idea of hiring offshore virtual assistants, and the rest is history. You can learn more about how Get Staffed Up started and how it changed their lives HERE.

Brett also explains that one of the advantages of hiring an offshore virtual assistant is cost savings. Our clients save a good amount on payroll, which helps grow their business and opens the possibility to hire more people domestically. So, we believe we are helping the global economy by creating jobs both virtually and domestically. On the other hand, another advantage is you can delegate all the things you hate to do, you’re not good at, or what takes all your time while you could be making more money. Delegating allows other people to come into your world and learn from you, grow, get promoted, and elevate themselves. Most importantly, it prevents burnout.
