Our mission at Get Staffed Up is simple: to liberate lawyers with incredible offshore talent. We were founded by two lawyers who thought that running a law firm should be insanely joyful (we’re changing lives, after all) – but didn’t find that joy until their teams were sufficiently large enough so that the lawyers only focused on what was important to them.
Although we’re also lawyers, we’re entrepreneurs at heart, and believe that ingenuity in the free market is the backbone of our economy. After all, where else can you start a business for almost nothing, where the only limit on your success is self-imposed? Entrepreneurship is supposed to be fun, and extremely rewarding. However, after building several multiple million dollar companies helping and advising other business owners, we found two common themes that prevented business owners from getting ahead and enjoying owning a business: low margins and labor costs (which turns out to be the same problem).
We first figured that a solution was already out there – another staffing company that could help entrepreneurs and small business owners decrease labor margins. But we couldn’t find them. And after spending months researching the market, the labor force, and the technology, we found out why other offshore staffing companies focus on the “big guys” in business – their own overhead. They need to charge large company prices to meet their own labor demands. So the little guys – like us – get left behind, again. Viola – we found the problem, and the solution.
At Get Staffed Up, we focus where margins really matter: in small businesses. Crushing labor overhead – as great as some of our employees are – often proves too difficult, preventing businesses from growing. Small business owners shouldn’t work 80 hours a week only to take home the little bit that’s left after everyone else gets paid. By having your “staffer” work from home, we pass the immense savings on to you, while still acting as the employer, so you avoid the traditional risks and costs of employment – worker’s comp, liability insurance, overtime, discrimination, or other false claim exposure, on and on.
