In this episode, Steve and Brett discuss how important it is to know when to delegate in order to scale your business and spend more time doing what you love. They talk about why thinking “no one will do something as good as me” is dangerous and holds your business back (imagine trying to run a restaurant at the chef, waiter, hostess, and dishwasher all at once). They also mention how taking your business to the next level requires designing systems and hiring people to run them.
They shared pretty cool insights on how focusing on your culture and getting it right is a huge competitive advantage. Most successful businesses are those with leaders who make their values known and live by them. When your culture is clear and integrated into everything your company does, you attract people who want to be a part of that mission and your company grows stronger. That means, when someone doesn’t fit into your culture, the most respectful thing you can do is to let them go so they can find the place they belong.
