Candid Convos with Adam Rossen

Candid Convos with Adam Rossen, hosted by our Brand Ambassador, Joe Bravo

We’re excited to share with you our newest episode of Candid Convos; where we discuss virtual staffing in the new remote economy with a business owner, or lawyer, who utilizes virtual staff. This time, our featured guest is Adam Rossen. Adam Rossen is the Founder and CEO of Rossen Law Firm, a law firm focused on criminal defense. He has earned multiple legal awards including AVVO perfect 10.0 for Top DUI Attorney and AVVO perfect 10.0 for Top Criminal Defense Attorney. At the core, what Rossen Law Firm cares most about is its clients.

In this episode, Joe, the host, and Adam talk about expectations when hiring a virtual assistant. They start by discussing the great success Adam’s firm has had in the past couple of years and the incredible rate at which it is growing. One of Adam’s motivations to persevere has been the Chinese proverb “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is today”. From the beginning of his career, Adam has worked hard every day. He adds that having a business vision has helped him achieve his goals. Without these clear goals, one ends up spinning around without direction and never growing.

Managing expectations

Joe asked Adam how his experience with a marketing assistant from Get Staffed Up has been thus far. Adam responded, “It has been great”. Scarlet, a professional marketing assistant from Colombia, manages a vast majority of Rossen Law Firm’s social media. In addition, she does graphic design, content writing and she is a very creative person. By hiring a virtual assistant, Adam was able to grow the marketing department and bring in more talent.

Adam debated the idea of hiring a VA for a couple of years. At the time, it seemed difficult to manage remote workers and there was no clear process. However, after finding Get Staffed Up, he realized that there was no need to micro-manage any team members. The hiring process was also facilitated and at that point, it was a no-brainer to hire a VA. He had certain expectations for his virtual assistant. He did not want someone to do everything marketing-related, but rather someone who could deliver high-quality content. Scarlet has not only met his expectations, but she has gone above and beyond to become part of the team.
