Candid Convos with Ian Almasi

Candid Convos with Ian Almasi and our Brand Ambassador, Joe Bravo.

We’re excited to share with you our newest episode of Candid Convos; where we discuss virtual staffing in the new remote economy with a business owner, or lawyer, who utilizes virtual staff. This time, our featured guest is Ian Almasi, CEO and founder of Immigration Finder. Immigration Finder was founded in 2020 and focuses on lead generation and sales generation for immigration lawyers and law firms.

In this episode, Ian and Joe, the host, discuss the importance of delegation in order to grow a successful business. They begin by discussing three important business values that Ian believes have helped him grow. The first value is to have good customer service. Although having good service is important, following up with customers and looking after their needs is just as important. The second value, knowing when to say no. As a business owner, one should know their capabilities and have the ability to say “no” to things that are not beneficial for the business. And the third value discussed was to learn to delegate, and to focus on your strengths.

Do what you do best and delegate the rest

Joe and Ian agree that growing your business is not only about clients but also about growing your team with talented people who care. Ian then adds that Get Staffed Up will help you have the right person doing the right job. A virtual marketing assistant, for example, will take care of social media and newsletters while you focus on other important matters.

Joe asks Ian what are some of the qualities he looks for in a team member: “They have to care”, Ian responded. However, Ian also added that business owners and leaders need to guide and provide strong leadership to their employees. In addition, they spoke about the difference between management by delegation and management by abdication.

Lastly, knowing that Ian has a passion for freediving, Joe was curious to know some of the lessons this sport may have taught him. The most important lesson being to focus on the present moment. If you are not focused, and you don’t work hard, you will not get the results you want, in freediving, and in business.
