Candid Convos with Miriam Airington-Fisher

Candid Convos with Miriam Airington-Fisher and our Brand Ambassador, Alina Lopez.

We are excited to share with you our brand-new episode of Candid Convos with Miriam Airington-Fisher, our special guest. As you may know, in this section we invite our Get Staffed Up clients for an interview. They are mainly lawyers and small business owners. We get some interesting insights into their professional career and firm, while they share their experience with their GSU virtual assistants. It’s a non-scripted, less than 20-minute interview where we listen to their real testimonials on how the work relationship with their staffers has been so far.

As mentioned before, GSU client Miriam Airington-Fisher honored us with her presence at this week’s Candid Convo. Miriam is the owner of Airington Law. It is a unique law firm in Richmond, Virginia, dedicated to exceptional criminal defense, appeals, and immigration work. Miriam holds a bachelor’s degree from the George Washington University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. Miriam has a Get Staffed Up virtual administrative assistant named Maria, who recently completed one year working for Airington Law.

“Having her join as a virtual assistant has allowed the firm to grow much quicker than it would have if we had been limited to in-person staffing and human resources.” – Miriam Airington-Fisher

She mentioned that the work relationship was so effective, that she hired two more virtual staffers. During the interview, she shared some of the daily tasks she delegates to each of them. Miriam mentioned that the first three people that the clients ever talk to at her firm are all virtual staffers.

“The virtual team that we have built up is just a perfect complement to our in-office because it has allowed us to expand our reach, also to provide a wonderful bilingual customer service to our Spanish speaking clients.” – Miriam Airington-Fisher

Miriam added that having a virtual team that can assist their Spanish speaking clients is very important for her. She mentioned that this has allowed her to expand not only her virtual team, but also the firm’s physical footprint in their home city.
