In this episode, Brett and Molly discuss how hiring is one of the first things one has to do in order to grow a business. The COVID-19 pandemic has presented new opportunities to hire remote workers to work with virtual staff from all over the world and to have more time to work on improving the business’s online presence. It is the best time to hire since (unfortunately) many great candidates have been laid off from their jobs due to the current economic situation. They both agree that the best time to hire is when no one else is doing it!
As founders of staffing companies, they are passionate about their goal of placing the best/right hire with the right employer. They also share pretty cool insights on how important it is to take the time to train the new hires and make them part of your team by having, for example, team retreats every quarter. For Molly, training just means coaching. You hire people that have the skills, the mindset, and the knowledge; but they will still need feedback, and want to get your time and attention.
