Hiring and Empowering Solutions Podcast with Molly McGrath and special guest, Brett Trembly.

On December 8, 2020, we had the honor of being the featured guest on the Hiring and Empowering Solutions podcast, hosted by Molly McGrath. She’s the founder of a management consultant service with a penchant for legal staffing and law firm business development also called Hiring and Empowering Solutions. The podcast is dedicated to providing the key ingredients to transform your employees into a dream team that creates consistent results in every aspect of the business, including team empowerment, leadership, business development, communication, hiring, and firing.

In this episode, Molly and Brett talk about creating freedom, autonomy, and recurring revenue in your law firm or business. Brett shares how he took a different approach to growing his law firm by hiring a business coach. He then followed through on the business plan. Brett expresses that one of the best things for growing your business is having a coach and a growth mindset because there is never a finish line for acquiring knowledge in business.

They both agree that part of running a successful business is allowing others that are better than you to do their part. By trying to control the entirety of your business, you might be doing more harm than good. Your business is a machine and you need to oil all of its parts to grow. And if you’re just stuck as the technician, you can’t grow your business. We, entrepreneurs, can certainly do anything, but we can’t do everything, and… we are not supposed to! So why not delegate your way to freedom with an incredible (and offshore, it’s a great option) virtual assistant? Brett was scared to take that step of making his first hire, but when he did it was so liberating that he wished he did it sooner.

They also share pretty cool insights on how to delegate effectively and efficiently, and how important it is to take the time to train your new hires to make them part of your team by having, for example, team huddles every morning. Remember that employees are human beings, not human doings.
