Candid Convos Featuring Will Dukes

Will Dukes in the left sitting in an office wearing a red and white shirt and in the left we have Brett Trembley smiling with a microphone next to him. He is also wearing a grey shirt next to the get staffed up logo. The image has a tittle that says Candid Convos Episode 5 Featuring Will Dukes

We’re so excited to share with you our next episode of Candid Convos, where we discuss virtual staffing in the new remote economy with a lawyer or other business owner who utilizes virtual staff. This time, our featured guest is Will Dukes, president of SalesPartners Florida, a professional training and coaching firm with the mission to improve the quality of life of everyone through the transformation of the marketplace.  Will calls himself a sales farmer and has helped a lot of small businesses and tech companies grow (and he actually grew up on a farm). He makes sure his clients are spending their money in the right places and converting leads. We don’t always interview clients, but today’s episode is one of our happy Get Staffed Up clients.

In this episode, Brett and Will discuss how liberating it is to have a virtual administrative assistant (VA) and how we can be resilient yet have systems and processes in place to maximize efficiency. They talk about how important is to outsource and/or delegate the things you’re not great at or simply don’t have the time to do. It’s okay to get help early on even when you think you can’t afford it and through Get Staffed Up you can get a really great VA to help you not to lose any leads. Entrepreneurs can do anything, but they can’t do everything, and they are not supposed to. For example, Brett comments on how when he started his law firm, he always made excuses on why he needed to do everything, but as soon as he hired his first in-house assistant, his revenue doubled in one month.

They also shared pretty cool insights on how school is set up for future employees, but not really for future employers or entrepreneurs and that’s when coaching comes in. We all need a growth mindset to continually keep getting better. It’s okay to not know everything (or not be an expert on everything) so focus on what you’re really good at and delegate the rest, it’s a huge benefit. People run the systems, and the systems run the business, so you have to be able to automate and delegate tasks so you can “delegate your way to freedom”.

What does Will say about his GSU virtual assistant?

“My virtual assistant from Get Staffed Up has been extremely helpful. It really has been a game changer, especially in the middle of the pandemic. Tania helps me with those things that I’m not necessarily the best at. She makes sure all emails get followed up on, and helps me with my schedule, between other administrative tasks. It has been so liberating.”
